Denver, CO and Killdeer, ND | Denver-based midstream energy company BOE Midstream (“BOE”), owner of LL Terminals, LLC; BOE Pipeline, LLC; and the Bakken Oil Express Rail Terminal; has signed an interconnection agreement with the Tesoro High Plains Pipeline (“THPP”) that will create additional crude oil end-user markets for producers throughout the Williston Basin. Located at BOE’s LL Terminals facility in Killdeer, ND, the new connection with Tesoro Logistics’ 700-mile crude oil gathering system and pipeline is scheduled to commence commercial operations in the late fourth quarter, 2014.
The new connection will provide producers and other shippers with critical crude-by-rail market outlets via pipeline inbound access to BOE’s Bakken Oil Express Rail Terminal in Dickinson, ND, a crude-by-rail unit train-loading facility capable of loading up to three unit trains per day.
BOE Chief Commercial Officer Mark Freed said, “We are pleased to be able to provide a critical market outlet for shippers on the Tesoro High Plains system in North Dakota. We believe this new interconnect will provide our mutual customers with another, and in some cases, more direct and economical shipping option to get their production to market.”
The Bakken Oil Express Rail Terminal also offers shippers access to 642,000 barrels of operational storage, simultaneous loading of two unit trains, and the ability to stage multiple trains on site to maximize efficiency. Its location along the BNSF Southern Main Line provides access to end-user markets on the East, West, and Gulf Coasts of the US.
